Mystery Men
Mystery Men is now available on VHS and DVD, to preorder check out the Store page.

The film is based on a comic book and tells the story of seven superhero wannabees who attempt to protect their hometown, Champion City, when its regular guardian, Captain Amazing is kidnapped. Apparently, Eddie says it was quite an experience: "I just play another bad guy. I like playing bad guys".  And Eddie is joined in the film by Oscar-winner, Geoffrey Rush of 'Shine' and 'Shakespeare In Love' fame: "He's Mr Bad, Casanova Frankenstein, and I'm Tony P who runs the gang. My character is very thin and I think I embellished him into being slightly with a more interesting attitude - he's kind of funky now".

Ben Stiller and Tom Waites are among the star-studded cast: "A whole truck-load of people. We all have egos and it was very interesting being of the set. It was fun", says Eddie.

You know how super heroes all have awesome powers that lend themselves to crimefighting — things like x-ray vision, superhuman strength, imperviousness to bullets? Well, the Mystery Men don't: They're the B-list superheroes (that's on a good day). They have names like "The Bowler" and "The Shoveler" and the goofy powers to match; their pathetic "heroics" are only tolerated when real superhero Captain Amazing is kidnapped by ultra baddie Casanova Frankenstein. Based on the satirical comics by Bob Burden (Flaming Carrot). (July 30)
